This grade two scramble is a short but technical route along the east face of 'Y Garn' mountain. It far surpasses the technicality of scrambling routes in the surrouding area and is therefore the perfect test for scramblers aiming to test their skills.

Completing this grade two scramble is no mean feat and could provide great practice for UK Grade 3 or even more technical Overseas scrambles. Y Garn lies within the Glyderau mountain range of Mid Wales, which is well known for its immense natural beauty. By completing this scramble of the mountains East Face you will also be summiting one of the Welsh 3000s.

Due to the technicality of this route it is advisable that only those who are very experienced scramblers traverse this route without a mountain leader. In order to make the route more accessible we will ensure that mountain leaders accompany you, to ensure your safety and to guide you.
