In 2018, our founder Ricky Munday - a qualified Mountain Leader & Chartered Accountant - reached the summit of Everest at the second attempt. During his expedition he was posting regularly on social media and thanks to the wonders of modern technology many schools had been communicating him on the mountain.

On his return to the UK he was inundated with requests for school talks and he launched a series of school & corporate talks across the UK. Just six weeks later, he founded Inspire Alpine® as a social enterprise.
