  1. How to help

Join our movement

Use your voice to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people who struggle to fulfill their potential. The attainment gap is real, and it affects the life chances of hundreds of thousands of young people who grow up in deprived areas of the UK.

Disadvantaged pupils are on average 18 months behind the rest of the class in academic achievement by the age of 16. At the current rate of progress, it will take 500 years to close the attainment gap.

We need people like you to help us spread the word and stand with these young people. You can help us make a difference.

For the first time in several years, the gap between poorer pupils and their peers at GCSE level in England has stopped closing, following some improvements between 2011 and 2015 - but this has slowed and at secondary levels is showing signs of going backwards.

We believe that all young people should have the opportunity to succeed. We must keep inspiring disadvantaged young people to raise their aspirations and help build their confidence & resilience to overcome their social & financial barriers.

By joining Inspire Alpine® and supporting our work, you can help make sure that lives are transformed.
