Be inspired UK mountain adventures Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge Trustpilot The Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge is the ultimate two-day mountain challenge, ascending 24 peaks on two long loops in the stunning Lakes, covering 52 kilometres with 3,600 metres of ascent, including the summits of mighty Scafell Pike & legendary Helvellyn. We begin in the stunning Langdale valley early on Day 1, taking in 10 peaks, walking 27 kilometres & climbing over 1,900 metres in around 12 hours, returning to Langdale. On Day 2, we take in 14 peaks, 25 kilometres & 1,700 metres of ascent. The Welsh 3000s Challenge requires a high level of mountain fitness, determination & mental toughness; you must be able to walk for up to 24 hours over mountainous terrain. The route crosses Crib Goch, an airy & exposed scramble so a good head for heights is essential. Book Now Weather & terrain The weather in the Welsh mountains is prone to change rapidly - it's essential that you're prepared & equipped for a raneg of mountain weather conditions including rain, wind and heat. Your safety and wellbeing is our top priority at all times & our Leaders have sole authority to modify the itinerary at any time before & during the event if wether or ground conditions are unsafe. In these circumstances, we'll make alternative arrangements to maintain the integrity of the event itinerary. Our activities are fully risk assessed and we hold Public Liability Insurance via Lockton LLP. Our leaders carry a mountain first aid kit, an emergency shelter, a fully charged mobile phone & spare battery, spare warm clothing & emergency food and we have two-way radio contact with all of our guides during the event. Kit A full kit list will be provided when you register for the Welsh 3000s Challenge. Good kit will make the difference between a brilliant mountain experience and an uncomfortable one. Footwear should be well worn in and you need to bring good quality waterproofs (jacket & trousers).
