We have a small pool of hand-picked leaders who are qualified experts in their chosen field. They live our values and are fully committed to help grow our social impact. All leaders hold an Outdoor First Aid qualification and are full members of the Mountain Training Association.

Mark McKenzie

Mark is our lead guide for our National Three Peaks Challenge events and is always a big hit with clients for his supportive & positive leadership style. Mark is a qualified Mountain Leader, holds an Outdoor First Aid certificate and is a full member of the Mountain Training Association (MTA) and the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). Mark holds the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) Tutor Award. In future he plans to work towards his International Mountain Leader (IML) and Winter Mountain Leader (WML) Awards. Mark also runs his own outdoor company TriVenture.

Rich Wiles

Rich is our lead guide for our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge events and is hugely experienced as an outdoor instructor. Rich has led hundreds of clients around the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and regularly works as a safety marshal on long-distance charity walking events. A qualified teacher, Rich is a qualified Mountain Leader, holds an Outdoor First Aid certificate and is a full member of the Mountain Training Association (MTA) and the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). He holds the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) Tutor Award and is working towards his Winter Mountain Leader (WML) Award

Iain Mackay

Iain has has a background in outdoor education, adventure travel and the armed forces. He has guided adventure expeditions throughout Scotland and worldwide for 20 years. His qualifications include:

  • Winter Mountain Leader
  • Rock Climbing Instructor
  • MIAS Level 5 Mountain Bike Instructor
  • First Aid Instructor
