To achieve the target timings for each peak (5 hours Ben Nevis, 4 hours each for Scafell Pike & Snowdon) requires a good level of fitness, determination and very efficient changes. To ensure safety, our drivers must stop for 30 minutes every 4.5 hours. Therefore, we build in a mandatory rest stop between Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike (at a service station heading south on the M74 or M6 where participants can eat a hot meal). Overall Time Limit In addition to the need for driver rest stops, we also impose an overall time limit of 29 hours to complete the event (start Ben Nevis at 07:00 and must be finished Snowdon by 12:00 on Sunday). We book Mountain Leaders for specific time slots on each mountain and we recognise that they may have other professional or family commitments. We advise that participants should not book return train tickets from Chester for trains that leave before 14:00 on Sunday in case we use these extra 5 hours. Client Benefits We offer an unbeatable range of benefits: Ordnance Survey map Customised Inspire Alpine® BUFF® 20% discount code for Montane® 15% discount for Open Air, with a financial donation to our social mission for every sale 15% discount code for Cotswold Outdoor and Snow+Rock 20% discount for Summitfit 5% discount on overseas expeditions Kit List Safety Your safety is our top priority. Our activities are fully risk assessed and we hold Public Liability Insurance via Lockton LLP. Our leaders carry a mountain first aid kit, an emergency shelter, a fully charged mobile phone & spare battery, spare warm clothing & emergency food and we have two-way radio contact with all of our guides at all times during an event. We hold a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Operator Licence. Financial protection We comply fully with the Package Travel Regulations and hold Financial Failure Insurance – so your money is fully protected. This policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Inspire Alpine®. This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Travel through Zurich Insurance PLC. Weather Regardless of the time of year, we may experience cloud, rain, wind, sun and even snow. The temperatures will be much cooler higher on the mountain tops, so having layers that you can add to and take off will work. We will of course adjust walking plans to take into consideration any adverse conditions, otherwise we go out in ‘most’ weather conditions, hence having waterproof and warm kit will help us carry on with our plans. Your Mountain Leaders are experience and qualified to make appropriate decisions about group safety. They will carry necessary group and safety equipment and are certified in Outdoor Emergency First Aid. How To Book The booking process is as follows: 1. Choose your ticket type below.
