Machu Picchu Logistics As well as your leader (me), we'll be supported by local English-speaking guides. You will carry only what you need for each day's trekking in a small rucksack. Due to the relatively lower altitude it will not be neccesary to acclimatize, therefore we can maximize the time we spend taking in the amazing views the Andes have to offer. All food on the mountain is provided, and we will eat in a communal tent where fresh food will be provided for us. Sufficient fresh water will be provided daily to ensure you stay hydrated. On the mountain, I will carry an expedition first aid kit, a satellite phone and have two-way radio contact with all of our guides at all times. I will also carry a pulse-oximeter to monitor your oxygen levels regularly.
