At 978m, Scafell Pike is the highest peak and the highest war memorial in England. It was gifted to the National Trust in 1919 in memory of those who died in WW1. It's also a very fragile habitat, home to rare plants and designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest
Soaring to 1,345m above sea level, Ben Nevis has the distinction of being the highest mountain in the UK, and this famous peak attracts 125,000 walkers a year. Whether you're a keen rambler or you just love incredible landscapes, bagging 'the Ben' should be near the top of your Scottish bucket list.
There's a reason that an estimated 582,000 people visit Snowdon each year! The breathtaking views that walkers can enjoy throughout the ascent is one of those reasons. It's also important to note that at 1,085 meters the ascent to the peak is Snowdon is manageable for people of most fitness levels.
