Everest Base Camp March 2020 As the highest mountain on earth, Everest has a magnetic appeal. The legendary trek to Everest Base Camp is regarded as one of the most dramatic and picturesque in the mighty Himalaya. The scenery on the trek is varied and spectacular, the amazing energy, sights and smells of Kathmandu will enchant you, and the friendly, smiling Sherpa people will capture your heart. The trek to Everest Base Camp must be on everyone's bucket list. This is your chance to follow in the footsteps of mountaineering icons Hillary & Tenzing to reach a truly historic site. You’ll be led by Everest summiteer and Inspire Alpine® founder Ricky Munday, who'll share heart-stopping tales from his two Everest summit expeditions. After arriving in Kathmandu, you'll meet the team and share dinner together in this vibrant capital, where Ricky will give an illustrated inspirational talk about his successful summit attempt. From Kathmandu, we make an early departure to catch a flight to the dramatic Lukla airstrip, where our journey to Everest truly begins. Nepal is a fascinating country, with idyllic blue roofed houses, vibrant prayer flags, smiling Sherpas and spectacular scenery. We trek through the bustling Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar and many other delightful Sherpa villages. We'll have breath-taking mountain views of one of the most beautiful peaks in the world - Ama Dablam. We'll visit Everest Base camp, before finally completing our remarkable journey with an ascent of the magnificent peak of Kala Patthar (5,554m). On the summit, we'll be rewarded with an unbeatable 360-degree panorama of spectacular 8,000m peaks, including mighty Everest herself. We'll be guided by expert local guides, all of whom have completed this trek at least 50 times, and some who have summitted Everest. We’ll be supported by a team of local porters.
